Things were not better under Trump

Donald Trump supporters keep saying that everything was better under Trump. But I would like to know exactly what they are talking about. The truth is, things have been better under Joe Biden by virtually every measure. The unemployment rate under Trump before the pandemic got down to 3.5%. It is now 3.4%. And unemployment rates for Hispanic workers, Black workers, women, and people with disabilities have all hit record lows under Biden. Biden beats Trump at job gains, too. In his Dec. 16 letter to the editor, Mr. Randy Grabill mis­takenly believes and is mislead­ing others that Article V of the U.S. Constitution permits the states to call for a convention to present constitutional amendments for consideration. We should be concerned about ABC News recently settling a suit brought against it and “This Week” anchor George Stephanopoulos by Donald Trump. The genesis of the suit is an interview that Stephanopoulos conducted in March, with U.S. Rep. Nancy Mace of South Carolina. Mace, a rape victim, was questioned by Stephanopoulos as to how she could support Trump, whom the anchor said had been found civilly liable for raping writer E. Jean Carroll. I see by Dr. Joseph Silverman’s Letter to the Editor on Dec. 20, that he used a tragedy in New York City, a cold blooded, premeditated murder at that, to take another swipe at our President-elect Donald J.
