I am responding to the letter published on Nov. 24 titled “It’s OK not to be OK with this.” The writer wanted us to use the power of the vote to make the changes to get this country back to a country that we can all be proud. I will list events that have happened under President Barack Obama and Joe Biden’s watch:

1. Afghanistan withdrawal (August, 2021) –Value of the equipment that was left behind is estimated to be $7.12 billion, and seized by the Taliban.

2. Four Americans lost their lives in 2012 (Benghazi attack). Repeated requests for additional security in Benghazi were denied by lower level officials within the State Department (under Secretary of State Hilary Clinton — she accepted responsibility for the security failures).

3. During the Obama administration, the IRS admitted to giving extra scrutiny to applications for tax-exempt status from conservative nonprofit groups.

4. Open border policies — Ask a mother or father if they are proud of a country that its leaders opened the flood gates on its borders and allowed drug cartels and criminals to enter our country.

5. If you are a soon to be born human being, are you safer to be born under the present administration or the former regimes?

6. Or maybe you want to plan on moving to New York City and reap the benefits of the policies that the future mayor of New York City is proposing?
