Delora Mary Carruba, 95, Ellicott City, Md., died Tuesday at Regency Park Assisted Living in Gambrills, Md. She was born in Hastings, daughter of the late Merle and Florence (Nelson) Yeager. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband, Joseph Carruba, who died in 2011; sister, Gladys Pavlock; and brothers, Thomas and Russell Yeager. John Daniel Emeigh, 53, of Osterburg, formerly of Roaring Spring, passed away Wednesday. He was born in Roaring Spring, son of Verna (Risbon) Emeigh-Clifford and the late Wayne Emeigh. Surviving are his mother; fiancee, Adra Lesh; a daughter, Taylor; a son, Dylan; grandsons, Walter “Walt” Emeigh and Louie “Louis” Claycomb; and a brother, Mark. He was preceded in death by a sister, Dawn Huber; and a brother, Robert. John was a U.S. Army veteran. A celebration of life service is being planned for a later date. Arrangements are by John K. John E. Scott, 83, Altoona, died Sunday. He was born in Mary D, son of the late John F. and Florence (Valentine) Scott. Surviving are his wife, Brenda; his children: Rae Lynne Tonkin, Leslie Martz, John Scott, Kerrin Lutz, Mark Hott, Shannon Long and Melissa Long; 19 grandchildren, with two on the way; and 21 great-grandchildren, with one on the way. He was preceded in death by his son, Jason Hott. John was a U.S. Army veteran. There will be no services at this time. Arrangements are by The Stevens Mortuary Inc., Altoona.
