Delora Mary Carruba

March 9, 1930 – March 11, 2025

Delora Mary Carruba, 95, Ellicott City, Md., died Tuesday at Regency Park Assisted Living in Gambrills, Md. She was born in Hastings, daughter of the late Merle and Florence (Nelson) Yeager.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband, Joseph Carruba, who died in 2011; sister, Gladys Pavlock; and brothers, Thomas and Russell Yeager.

Surviving are a daughter, Joanne Carruba, wife of Scott Raudabaugh of Ellicott City, Md.; her grandson, Joseph Raudabaugh, who was the "shining light" in her life and a source of great joy. She is also survived by her brother, Merle Yeager, of Philipsburg; and many cherished nephews, nieces and cousins.

After her high school graduation, Delora continued her education and completed a business program at Altoona School of Commerce. She then worked as a bookkeeper for several years before marrying and starting a family.

Delora was a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother who was happy making a comfortable home and caring for her family. She will be deeply missed.

Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 22, 2025, at St. Bernard Cemetery, with Father Thaddeus Rettger OSB, officiating. Committal will be alongside her husband at St. Bernard Cemetery.

Arrangements are by Moriconi Funeral Home Inc., Northern Cambria.
