George H. Seely

George H. Seely, 87, formerly of Hollidaysburg, passed away Tuesday, Dec. 3, 2024, in Beavercreek, Ohio. He was raised by Charles B. Seely and Virgina I. Seely (Head). He graduated from Hollidaysburg High School in 1955. He was in ROTC at Penn State and graduated with a BS in aeronautical engineering in 1959. George spent three years in the Air Force and received a MS in engineering management at University of Dayton. In 1983, George married the love of his life, Sylvia. Alice M. Burd, 96, of Altoona, died Saturday, March 15, 2025, at The Villages at Midtown Oaks, Altoona. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday, March 22, 2025, at Jon C. James Paul Dawson, 74, of Altoona, peacefully passed away Sunday evening at Select Specialty Hospital in Johnstown. He was born in Altoona, son of the late George Thomas Dawson Sr. and Dolores Dawson. James was also preceded in death by siblings, George Thomas Dawson Jr. and Sondra Irvine; and best friend, Patty Black Andorio. James was a 1969 graduate of the Western PA School for the Deaf, Pittsburgh, and worked at Veeder-Root Co. for 33 years. There will be no public services at this time.
