Vernon Ray DeLong Jr., 74, of Altoona, died Friday afternoon, May 23, 2025, at Maybrook Hills Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center, Altoona. He was born in Lewisburg, a son of the late Vernon R. and Margaret S. (Botto) DeLong. Mr. DeLong was a 1968 graduate of Altoona Area High School. Friends will be received from 11 a.m. until the 1 p.m. service Thursday, June 5, 2025, at John K. Bolger Funeral Home Inc., Martinsburg. Private interment will be held at Royer Cemetery, rural Williamsburg.

Carol L. (Thomas) Barefoot, 80, of Altoona, died Monday. She was born in Lewistown, daughter of the late Jess and Betty (Haller) Thomas. Surviving are her husband, Jordan; sons: Douglas, Michael and Christopher; stepsons: Jordan, Adam and Andy; several grandchildren; and siblings, Cassandra and David Thomas. She was preceded in death by a sister, Janice Holes. Friends will be received from 10 until the 11 a.m. memorial Wednesday, June 4, 2025, at First United Methodist Church, Hollidaysburg.
