Peggy A. Henry 79, of Pinellas, Fla., passed away Friday while visiting family in Martinsburg. She was born in Baltimore, Md., a daughter of the late Robert and Eva Treese. Surviving are her children: Bill Henry, Melissa Farris (Stacy), Scott Henry and Shawn Henry; grandchildren: Ashley, Hannah, Ian, Bradley and Orion; and great-grandchildren: Kassidy, Isiah, Nolan, Liabella and Hudson. Alfred Straubinger, 87, of Beccaria, passed away Thursday at Penn Highlands, Tyrone. He was born in Jersey City, N.J., a son of the late Eugene and Alice (Bernstengel) Straubinger. His wife, Carol, preceded him in death. Surviving are children: Lisa Folmar, Lynn Schaefer and Steven Straubinger; eight grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren, Briauna and Charlotte Schaefer, with another on the way; and a sister-in-law, Janet Harabedian. Steven R. Black, 77, of Flinton, died Aug. 15, 2025, at UPMC Altoona. He was born Oct. 1, 1948, in Harrisburg, the son of the late Harold A. and Geraldine M. (Rodgers) Black. He is survived by his wife, the former Kathleen Counsman of Flinton; his brother, Scott (Diane) Black of Sinnemahoning; in-laws, Jim (Valerie) Counsman of Valparaiso, Fla., and Debra Counsman and her companion Rod Tweet of Brandon, Fla.; nephews: John, Eric and Hazar; and niece, Courtney Counsman.
