William R. "Bill" Pounds, 81, Duncansville, went home to be with his Lord on Saturday. He was born in Altoona, son of the late Ralph Sr. and Catherine (Bell) Pounds.
He married Barbara Ann (Conner) McCann on June 28, 1980, at Trinity United Methodist Church, Altoona.
Surviving are his wife; four children: Mike McCann, Michelle McCann, Lisa Pounds (Liza) and Jeffery Pounds; four grandchildren: Chelsea, Haley, Courtney and Xaneder; siblings: Nancy DesGerennes, Darlene Pounds, Kathie Baker (Bill), Judy Curry (Richard), Danny Pounds and Cindy Piotti (Brian); a sister-in-law, Judy Pounds; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Ralph Jr. and Victor.
Bill was a 1963 graduate of Hollidaysburg High School. He was a U.S. Army Reserves veteran. He retired from F.L. Smithe Machine Co.
Bill was a member of Grace Fellowship Church. He previously enjoyed building and racing slot cars, racing micro-sprint cars and watching sports that his family participated in.
Friends will be received from 10 a.m. until the funeral service at noon Thursday, Aug. 21, 2025, with Military Honors, at Grace Fellowship Church, Leamersville. Pastor Mark Lingenfelter will officiate.
