Alfred Straubinger, 87, of Beccaria, passed away Thursday at Penn Highlands, Tyrone. He was born in Jersey City, N.J., a son of the late Eugene and Alice (Bernstengel) Straubinger. His wife, Carol, preceded him in death. Surviving are children: Lisa Folmar, Lynn Schaefer and Steven Straubinger; eight grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren, Briauna and Charlotte Schaefer, with another on the way; and a sister-in-law, Janet Harabedian. A private celebration of life will be held at a later date. Arrangements are by Birger A. Freeberg Funeral Home Inc., Houtzdale.
