Deborah A. Carner

Deborah A. Carner, 68, of Altoona, passed away Saturday. She was born in Altoona, a daughter of the late Elwood and Patricia (Claar) Carner. Surviving are children: Crystal Carner, Jaelynn Colbert, Nathaniel Harclerode and Dorrell Colbert; her grandchildren; and sisters, Tonda Rudy and Teresa Jones. She was preceded in death by siblings, Lisa Boyette and Elwood “Woody” Carner. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Interment will take place at Logan Valley Cemetery, Bellwood. Arrangements are by The Good Funeral Home Inc., 108 Alto-Reste Park, Altoona.

Pauline J. (Smith) Woomer, 91, of Hollidaysburg, passed away Friday at the Village at Morrisons Cove. She was born in Roaring Spring, daughter of the late John and Hazel (Dell) Smith. Surviving are a daughter, Vicki Cassarly and husband, Sheldon, of Hollidaysburg; a son, Donnie Woomer of Hollidaysburg; two grandchildren, Justin and Joshua; four great-grandchildren; a sister, Marlene Beers; and numerous nieces and nephews. Ithel J. “Ike” Wright, 94, Martinsburg, died Thursday. He was born in Hopewell, son of the late Chester and Evelyn (Lynn) Wright. Ike was also predeceased by two wives, Mary (Miller) and Janet (Hoover). Surviving are his wife, Carolyn (Imler); children, Daniel Wright and Julie Noem; his grandchildren; siblings: Paul, Leroy and Alan Wright and Fayetta Barber; and sister-in-law, Harriet Miller. Alan Lee Diehl, 72, of Tyrone, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, Aug. 22, 2025. He was born in Altoona on Dec. 8, 1952, a son of the late William Diehl and Janet (Moyer) Diehl Pfiester. After William passed away, Alan’s mother later married his father, the late Robert Pfiester. On Sept. 14, 1979, he married Nancy Ann Frank, who survives. Also surviving are two children: Melissa Miller and Alan “AJ” Diehl II; one granddaughter: Bailee Miller; and four siblings: Bobbi Ann Schmitt and Michael, Tim, and Terry Pfiester. Margaret T. Frank, 91, Cresson, passed away Monday at Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center, Johns­town. She was a daughter of the late Joseph and Mary (DiMento) Frank. Margaret was preceded in death by siblings: Nancy, Ann, Frances, Rose, Rita, Samuel and Albert. She is survived by her twin sister, Polly; a sister, Phyllis; and many nieces and nephews. Margie was a 1951 graduate of Cresson High School. She was a dedicated and hardworking lady who enjoyed a successful career of more than 40 years at the Cambria County Savings & Loan in Cresson.
