Sharon (Chipperfield) Johnson, 79, passed away Thursday, from this world onto another to be with her best friend and loved ones. She was the daughter of Charles Sr. and Naomi (Quenzler) Chipperfield.
She is survived by a sister, Shirley Halfpenny; and a brother, Charles Jr.
Sharon was preceded in death by sisters: Phylis Scott and Elizabeth Arsenault, both of Altoona.
She was married to her best friend and the love of her life, Robert C. Johnson III "Willie." Together they helped raise Kerry Williams of Houtzdale and Shelley Williams of Ravenna, Ohio.
Sharon attended Altoona High School and Mount Aloysius College with a degree in early childhood education.
She worked many jobs in Altoona. She worked at Hills and Ames Department Stores, worked as a school crossing guard for the city of Altoona and at the Curve baseball field in the concession booth.
Sharon enjoyed life to the fullest, having gone to Woodstock. She enjoyed camping, fishing and planting flowers in the spring and being outdoors.
She will be sadly missed and always loved by her family, many friends and all who knew her.
Friends and family will be received for a celebration of Sharon's life at 1 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 27, 2025, at The Good Funeral Home Inc., 108 Alto-Reste Park, Altoona. Inurnment will take place privately at Alto-Reste Park, Altoona.
In lieu of any donations, flowers would be greatly appreciated and should be sent to The Good Funeral Home prior to the service at 1 p.m.
