Kathryn H. (Hoover) Glacken

Kathryn H. (Hoover) Glacken, 83, Altoona, died Monday. She was born in Altoona, daughter of the late Sherwood and Olive (Gibboney) Hoover. Her brother, John Hoover, preceded her in death. Surviving are her husband, Charles; children: Charline Glacken, William Glacken and Kathryn Glacken; four grandchildren; a great-grandson; sister-in-law, Kiyoko Hoover; and nephew, James Hoover. Friends will be received from 2 until the 4 p.m. service Friday, Sept. 25, 2026, at Rose Hill Funeral & Cremation Care Inc., 118 Rosehill Cemetery Drive, Altoona.

Betty Mae Harclerode

Betty Mae Harclerode, 81, of Woodbury, died Monday. She was born in Roaring Spring, daughter of the late Malcolm “Mac” and Marie (Cogan) Drake. Surviving are her husband, G. Wayne Harclerode; two children, Dwayne and Elizabeth Bithell; and grandchildren, Rachel and Ian Bithell. She was preceded in death by siblings: Robert, Donald, Benjamin, Ronald and Edward Drake, Martha Jean Harclerode and Bonnie Clark.
