Sandra M. Smith, 86, of Roaring Spring, passed away Sept. 15, 2026, at home. She was born in Roaring Spring, daughter of the late Harvey and Violet (Helsel) Mock.
She married D. Thomas "Tommy" Smith on Dec. 24, 1957.
Surviving are her husband; a son, R. Dane Smith and wife, Karen, of Roaring Spring; a daughter, Dena D. Burket and husband, Michael, of Claysburg; five grandchildren: Darby Thomas, Kale Burket, Kassidy Burket, Tyler Hoover and Shayla Walters; six great-grandchildren: Amara Thomas, Maverick Thomas, Jameson Walters, Piper Decelle, Archer Hoover and Layton Burket; and special niece and nephews: Betsy Wineland, Bret, Bart and Brad Mock.
She was preceded in death by a son, Jamey D. Smith; and a brother, Gary Mock.
Sandy was a graduate of Roaring Spring High School. She retired as a purchasing agent from Smith Transport in 1996.
Sandy was a member of First Church of the Brethren, Roaring Spring, and was a member of the knitting club at church.
She enjoyed traveling, gardening, camping and being outdoors.
Friends will be received from 3 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 24, 2026, at First Church of the Brethren, Roaring Spring; and from 10 until the 11 a.m. funeral service Friday, Sept. 25, 2026, with the Rev. Dr. David Crumrine and Pastor Daniel Hammel officiating. Interment at Albright Cemetery, Roaring Spring.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to the church fund.
