He was born in Altoona, son of the late Jesse W. & Elizabeth (Chiarieri) Reimer. He married Patricia Ann Brown on May 23, 1964.

Surviving are his wife; three sons: Steven W. (Amy), Scott W. (Heather M.) and Shawn W. (Heather A.), all of Altoona; two daughters: Suzanne Krider (Stephen) of Altoona and Sharon Zelnosky (Scott) of Hanover, Md.; three brothers-in-law: John E. Brown (Patricia), Michael G. Brown (Beverly) and Ronald E. Brown (Janet), all of Altoona; a sister-in-law, Kathleen Harella (Joseph) of Altoona; seven grandchildren: Connor, Zach, and Avery Reimer and Kira, Hannah, Julia and Troy Zelnosky; two cousins: Carol Damico and Mickey Hobbs; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by a grandson: Jimmy Bilski.

Bill retired as a school teacher from Altoona Area School District after 35 years of service. He was an Altoona Area School District football, wrestling and track and field coach for many years. He enjoyed his role organizing District 6 wrestling and track and field meets. He was an avid golfer.

At the request of the deceased, there will be no visitation. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 12, 2016, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church by Father Lubomir Strecok. Committal will be at Calvary Cemetery. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the Big A Boosters, c/o Altoona Area School District Athletic Office, 1415 6th Ave., Altoona, PA 16602. Arrangements are by The Stevens Mortuary Inc., 1421 Eighth Ave., Altoona.
