Donald E. Blazier Sr.

On Sept. 26, 1951, he married Dorothy Eva Rennow in Winchester, Va.

Surviving are his wife of 74 years; a son, Donald E. Jr. (Debbie) of Bellwood; a daughter, Dee Blazier; two grandchildren, Stephanie (Curt) and Michael (Tyne); four great-grandsons; siblings: Jesse, Robert, Sam and Lee Blazer and Jean Kelly.

He was preceded in death by siblings: Ralph, Irene, Hazel and Raymond.

Donald was a 1948 graduate of Bellwood-Antis High School.

In 1989, he retired as a freight conductor at Conrail with 40 years of dedicated service.

He proudly served as a combat veteran in the U.S. Army 2nd Infantry Division during the Korean conflict.

Donald was a member of Trans4mation Church, Altoona.

Friends will be received from 2 to 5 p.m. Monday, May 11, 2026, at Jon C. Russin Funeral Home Inc., Bellwood. A funeral service with military honors will be held at 5 p.m. Monday at the funeral home, with Pastor John Gray officiating. Interment will be at Logan Valley Cemetery, Bellwood.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that contributions in his memory be made to Trans4mation Church, Altoona.
