Judith A. “Judy” Arthurs, 82, of Altoona, died Friday afternoon at her residence. She was born in Johnstown, a daughter of the late Earl Joseph and Esther Marie (Lamison) Miller. She married Richard W. “Dick” Arthurs on Jan. 26, 1968, in Altoona. He preceded her in death Oct. 16, 2023. Surviving are her son, Kevin S. Arthurs, and his fiancee, Heather Haines, of Altoona; two granddaughters, Abigail M. Arthurs (Bruce Krestar Jr.) of Altoona and Morgan G. Margaret M. Geesey, 92, of Roaring Spring, passed away Sunday at Maybrook Hills Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center, Altoona. She was born in Altoona, daughter of the late Charles and Freda (Gorman) Eisenhart Sr. She married Donald W. Geesey Sr., who preceded her in death. Surviving are her daughters, Pamela Ickes (Jeff) of Fort Ashby, W.Va., and Dawna Knee (Garry) of Hollidaysburg; a son, Donald W. Cecelia M. (Hoefler) LaHive, 66, of Altoona, passed away Tuesday. She was born in Altoona, the daughter of the late Gerald and Margaret (Piper) Hoefler. Her husband, William, preceded her in death. Surviving are two sisters, Stephanie Scheeler and Rita Hoefler; two brothers, Jeffery and William; and many nieces and nephews. She was also survived by her fur babies, Marley and Cami. Friends will be received from noon until 2 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 17, 2025, at Sorge Funeral Home & Crematory Inc., Hollidaysburg, where a memorial service will immediately follow at 2 p.m.

Brenda Marie Lynch

Brenda Marie Lynch, 58, Cresson, peacefully passed away Thursday at home. She was born in Altoona. Surviving are her loving husband of 21 years, John Lynch; daughter, Blair (Marco) Phrenick; son, Valyn Lynch, both in Maryland; and brother, Steve (Deb) Diehl, and family of Lilly. Brenda worked for many years as a Pa. State Constable. She enjoyed spending her time gardening, painting and playing with her dogs. Honoring her request, there will be no viewing or services. Arrangements are by Moriconi Funeral Home Inc., Northern Cambria.

Diana (Richers) Monnikendam

Diana (Richers) Monnikendam, 77, of Somerset, formerly of Altoona, died Saturday. She was born in Altoona, daughter of the late Robert and Patricia (Stoltz) Richers. She was preceded in death by her husband, John; and a sister, Catherine McCusker. Surviving are her daughter, Maria Dennis; grandchildren, Emily and Bryan Dennis; and siblings: Marilyn Cross, Robert Richers, Fran Winsor, Dave Richers, John Richers and Monica Kelly.
