Edward B. ‘Bernie’ Yetsko Jr.

Edward B. “Bernie” Yetsko Jr., 90, of Altoona, passed away Wednesday, Sept. 17, 2025, at his residence. Friends will be received from 3:30 to 7:30 p.m. Monday, Sept. 22, 2025, at The Stevens Mortuary Inc., 1421 Eighth Ave., Altoona, where a vigil for the deceased will be held. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 23, 2025, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 1405 Fifth Ave., Altoona. A complete obituary will appear in Saturday-Sunday’s Mirror.

Russell T. Heil, 76, of Duncansville passed away Wednesday at his residence. He was born in Easton, son of Rose (Haser) and the late William Heil Sr. He married Sang Suk Yu in 1996. Surviving are his wife of 29 years; his mother; and a brother, William Heil Jr. He was a U.S. Army veteran. ​All services are private at Sorge Funeral Home.

Mary E. (Kelly) Hetrick, 95, of Hollidaysburg, passed away Wednesday. She was born at home in Newry, daughter of the late Pius and Ethel (Costlow) Kelly. She married Paul E. Hetrick, who preceded her in death in 2017 after sharing 66 years of marriage. Surviving are a daughter, Kelly Baronner and husband Robert of Hollidaysburg; two sons: Paul E. and wife Deborah of Mechanicsburg, and Lee and wife Susan of Hollidaysburg; six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren; four sisters: Jane Kelly RSM, Constance Dolinski, Rebecca Elias, and Eileen Hileman; and a brother, Richard Kelly. Theresa M. Hines, 79, Cresson, passed away at Homewood Living in Martinsburg on Friday after an extended illness, surrounded by her loving family.
