State awards $1.5M to boost pedestrian safety in Hollidaysburg
A Blair County project has been awarded nearly $1.5 million to improve safety in Hollidaysburg.
The $1,490,230 award will go toward improving pedestrian infrastructure along several blocks of Allegheny Street, a main residential corridor in Hollidaysburg.
These enhancements will include new sidewalks, curbs and ADA ramps, as well as traffic calming measures such as crosswalks.
“These projects will improve safety for our pedestrians, bicyclists and motorists,” state Sen. Judy Warn, R-Blair, said in making the announcement.
The project is funded through the 2025-26 Transportation Alternatives Set-Aside program.
