Hollidaysburg man arrested for alleged violations of PFA order

Donofrio accused of violating order on multiple occasions

A Hollidaysburg man is behind bars after allegedly violating a protection from abuse order on multiple different occasions.

Christopher Donofrio, 32, was arraigned Monday by Magisterial District Judge Wendy R. Mellott on two felony counts of stalking – repeatedly committing acts to cause fear. He was remanded to the Blair County Prison after being unable to pay $50,000 bail.

State police at Hollidaysburg were dispatched about 11:40 a.m. Friday to speak with the victim regarding a violation of the PFA order she has against Donofrio. The victim told officers she was taking her juvenile daughter to school about 8:30 a.m. Friday when Donofrio drove into the parking lot and parked in front of her vehicle, preventing her from leaving. The victim said Donofrio left his vehicle and began yelling at her and accusing her of seeing another man before returning to his vehicle and leaving, according to the affidavit of probable cause.

After dropping off her daughter, the victim went to Jed Allen’s Auto Service at 15348 Dunnings Highway in Freedom Township to pick up a friend. While waiting for her friend, the victim said Donofrio pulled into the parking lot, exited his vehicle and entered the building. Donofrio exited the building shortly after and left the area, the police report states.

The victim told officers she received several messages from Donofrio about 9:30 a.m. referencing her son liking Willie Nelson, which the victim took to be a reference to the friend she was picking up as their last name is Nelson, the report states.

The victim gave officers other messages from Donofrio dated May 4, in which he told the victim he was aware that a friend had used a “secondary pickup and drop off” location to avoid being seen at her residence. After concluding the interview, the victim contacted officers and reported Donofrio following her in his vehicle for about four blocks, the report states.

State police records show Donofrio was charged with a PFA violation on April 22 following several incidents, one of which occurred on April 19. In that incident, Donofrio sent the victim a picture of a vehicle in which she was a passenger. The victim said Donofrio sent her a message referencing her riding in that same vehicle on April 14, according to the affidavit.

Donofrio is scheduled for a preliminary hearing May 19 in front of Mellott.
