Glendale foundation prepares for school year

FLINTON –– The Glendale Education Foundation board members met for the first meeting of the school year on Sept. 25 at Josie’s Restaurant in Coalport. The members discussed numerous upcoming projects and plans for the year underway. In June, the GSDEF celebrated the annual golf outing fundraiser, netting just over $14,000 in net profit. Chef auction raises $53K for students JOHNSTOWN –– The Pennsylvania Highlands Community College Foundation, in partnership with the 1889 Foundation, held a successful Chef Auction at the Frank J. Pasquerilla Conference Center, raising more than $53,000 for local students seeking a college education. All of the money that was either brought in or donated will go toward the Supporting Scholars Fund at the college, as well as future scholarships in culinary arts at Penn Highlands.
