Juniata sets Constitution Day discussion HUNTINGDON –– The Office of the Provost and Student Government at Juniata College will host a panel discussion, “Affirmative (Re)Action: Discussing the Implications of the Harvard Admissions Case,” at 7 p.m. Monday, Sept. 18, in Alumni Hall, Brumbaugh Academic Center at Juniata College. WISE Women offers scholarships

WISE Women of Blair County is seeking applications for scholarship assistance. One or more scholarships will be awarded up to a total of $10,000. Deadline for applications is 4 p.m. Friday, Sept. 29. These completed applications must be received by email or U.S. Postal mail to WISE Women, P. O. Box 134, Hollidaysburg, PA 16648 or at info@wisewomenofblaircounty.org. BG recognizes students for excellence

Bishop Guilfoyle Catholic High School, Altoona, has announced its President’s Education Award for Outstanding Academic Excellence recipients. They are Samantha Brandt, Holly Butler, Sarah Geishauser, Marklin Myers, Hannah Patterson, Melayna Steward and Mingzhen Michael Zhou. Student criteria: Ranks in the top 15% of class based on end of the junior year cumulative grade point average; exhibits discipline and drive to excel academically; demonstrates the characteristics that positively reflect Bishop Guilfoyle; and receives recommendation by 75% of the recommending faculty.
