Students graduate from charter school

HARRISBURG — Eleven graduates from Blair County, as members of Reach Cyber Charter School’s Class of 2025, were among the 630 high school seniors honored at the statewide STEM-focused cyber school’s in-person commencement ceremony at the Bryce Jordan Center in State College in June. Class of 2025 graduates from Blair County are Anehya Barlow, Blake DeArmitt, JaeLyne-Rae Erb, Levi Geesaman, Lacie Geissinger, Angelic Parson, Aspen Quintana, Janis Schall, Malek Shields, Nymier Shields and Alyssa Sul.

College receives $1.1M to be used for scholarships

JOHNSTOWN –– Pennsylvania Highlands Community College has been awarded a $1.1 million endowment from Margaret J. Pardee. This funding will establish a new scholarship program for Penn Highlands students, set to launch in the Fall 2026 semester. The Margaret J. Pardee Scholarship will provide full tuition scholarships that cover the entirety of a full-time student’s tuition and fees for one year or two semesters.
