During the 75th Gallitzin Alumni Association Dinner on Sunday, Sept. 6, the Denis T. Bozella Memorial Scholarship was awarded to two well deserving graduates. The recipients were Hannah McMahon, Cresson, and Marley Shaffer, Lilly. Hannah McMahon is a 2026 Bishop Carroll graduate, she will continue her learning career at Mount Aloysius College in Cresson, pursuing a major in the field of nursing. Roaring Spring library sets activities for Oct.

Roaring Spring Community Library has announced its programs for October. Library hours are 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Thursday, 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday and 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday. The library will be closed on Monday, Oct. 12, and will re-open at 9 a.m. Oct. 13. The Hollidaysburg Area Public Library has announced its activities for October. The library will be closed Monday, Oct. 12, in observance of Indigenous Peoples’ Day. The library will close at 4 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 31, due to the Hollidaysburg Halloween Parade. n Canasta and Mah Jongg games are held at 11 a.m. Mondays.
