The Friends of Canoe Creek will hold Saturday Night at the Movies on Saturday, June 27, at Canoe Creek Park, Pavilion 2, Williamsburg. The annual Huntingdon County Juneteenth Celebration will be held from noon to 5 p.m. Saturday, June 27, at Portstown Park in Huntingdon. This year’s celebration includes entertainment by fan favorites Urban Fusion and Eric Ian Farmer. Joining them are the Standing Stone Kickers, the Servellos and storyteller Janice Bishop. The Southern Alleghenies Museum of Art at Bedford’s Summer Painting Workshops series concludes with “Intro to Casein Painting Workshop,” from 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday, June 27, at the historic Anderson House at 137 E. Pitt St., Bedford. Led by artist Collin Cessna, the class introduces participants to casein paint, a versatile medium known for its matte finish and vibrant color. Students will explore casein painting techniques for landscapes, portraits, wildlife, and still life subjects. The Southern Alleghenies Museum of Art is proud to present a limited-time, special photography exhibition celebrating America’s rich railroad heritage in conjunction with the historic arrival of Union Pacific’s legendary Big Boy No. 4014 in Altoona during its 2026 Northeast Tour. The exhibition features striking railroad photography by the renowned American photographer William H. Rau, celebrated for documenting the grandeur of American rail travel and industry during the late 19th and early 20th centuries. The exhibition is now open and will be on view through July 12. The Southern Alleghenies Museum of Art at Altoona is excited to welcome young artists this summer for five days of hands-on creativity, imagination and artistic exploration led by teaching artist Emily Russell. Designed for children and teens who love to create, SAMA’s summer camps encourage students to experiment with new materials, techniques, and ideas while having fun in an inspiring museum setting. - The Community Arts Center of Cambria County is proud to present its third exhibition of 2026 hosted in the Goldhaber-Fend Fine Arts Center gallery, Johnstown, “From Fine Art To Folk Art.” In this collection of artworks, the Cambria County Historical Society presents a collection of fine art and folk art from around Cambria County, dating from as early as the 1870s to present day. The exhibition will be on display until Friday, July 24. The gallery is open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday and from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday. Admission is “pay what you decide.”

- History and nature lovers have a new reason to explore Central Pennsylvania with the launch of the Pennsylvania Mainline Canal Driving Trail, a self-guided, 125-mile scenic route that winds through six counties along the Juniata River. Developed through a collaboration between local visitor bureaus and historical societies, the trail features more than a dozen stops that span from the 1789 Clarks Ferry Tavern near Duncannon to the Allegheny Ridge in Portage.
