John M. ‘Jack’ Bowman

John M. “Jack” Bowman, 75, of Hollidaysburg, passed away Wednesday after complications from a fall. Born in Wilkinsburg, Jack was the son of the late Robert and Josephine Bowman.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Robert; and his sister, Julie Bowen.
Jack worked as a carman for Conrail. During his career, he was a skilled tradesman who worked as a bricklayer, welder and mason. He retired in 1995 after 25 years of service.
A devoted family man, Jack had friends and family members with whom he spent much of his time. One of his fondest memories was the show of support from loved ones at his surprise 50th wedding anniversary party.
Jack’s hobbies included puttering around on old muscle cars, maintaining the family vehicles and enjoying the swimming pool he proudly built with family and friends in the early 1990s.
He is survived by his loving wife, Elvira “Dee” (Forlina) Bowman; his children: Christopher, Michael and Kelly; and grandchildren, Aaron Bowman and Kelsey Prough. He is also survived by his brother, James, of Hollidaysburg; and sister, Noreen, of Conroe, Texas.
Viewing services will be held from 2 to 6 p.m. Wednesday, July, 1, 2026, at The Good Funeral Home Inc., 108 Alto-Reste Park, Altoona.
