Association for the Blind sets Nov. programs

The Blair/Clearfield Association for the Blind offers weekly opportunities for educational programs and socializing.

All programs are at 10:30 a.m. Unless otherwise stated, programs are held at 300 Fifth Ave., Altoona.

For more information, call 944-2021. Programs are open to the public.

Wednesday — “Winter Safety,” Rita Pompa, Allegheny Lutheran Social Ministries.

Nov. 13 — Shopping at Dollar Tree.

Nov. 20 — “Looking Good for Less,” Jessie House

Nov. 23 — “Adaptive Aids for Leisure and Recreation,” Shelly Hack and Amy Somers, Bureau of Blindness and Visual Services.

Nov. 27 — “Steroids and Glaucoma,” Tina Walters, BCAB.

This Specialized Services program is funded in part through grants from the Pennsylvania Department of Labor & Industry, Bureau of Blindness & Visual Servi-ces and the Office of Vocational Rehabilita-tion.
