Yesteryear-Seventh Street Bridge
Leonard E. Alwine of Altoona submitted this photo of the “new” Seventh Street Bridge being built in the fall of 1912. The original iron bridge (square inside) was used as a base for the traveling crane for the construction of the trusses for the bridge being built. It was then torn out and the new bridge deck was built inside along with the trolley tracks.
