The Altoona Chorus of Sweet Adelines, under the direction of Mary Kay Parrish, will present its annual show, “Dare To Dream,” at 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 8, at the Evangelical Lutheran Church, 1401 12th Ave., Altoona. The show will feature the award-winning chorus singing a selection of Disney songs while telling the story of would-be actors visiting a local café to share their dreams and disappointments. Joining the chorus on stage will be the Pleasant Valley Elementary School Cougar Chorus under the direction of Kristin delGiudice. In addition, the Altoona Horseshoe Chorus will be performing under the direction of Joe Malafarina. The Altoona Chorus has been entertaining in Blair County and surrounding areas for 71 years. Beginning Nov. 11, any woman interested in singing with the chorus for the holidays can attend rehearsals at the Jaggard United Methodist Church on Tuesdays and sing at some holiday performances.
