Coach Jason Sowers’ quote: “Having Carly her senior year was very special for me. I wish I would have had more time with her. She is a very hard worker and a very coachable player. She always gives 110%, whether it’s during practice when she thinks no one is watching or during games. I think any coach who gets her will be excited with the energy that she brings along with her leadership skills.”

How I got my start playing volleyball: “My family has always been extremely into the sport. They persuaded me to try out in seventh grade, and after my first kill, I fell in love with the sport.”

Favorite college growing up: University of Nebraska

Other interests: Fishing, spending time with my boyfriend and our families, weight lifting, video games and going to church.

What getting to play in college means to me: “It means the world to me. I have been watching college volleyball since I was a little girl. I never thought it would be possible to be one of those girls someday. It is confirmation that all my hard work does not go unnoticed.”
