Sheldon G. Wagner, 76, formerly of Claysburg, passed away Friday, May 15, 2026, at the Presbyterian Home, Hollidaysburg, after a lengthy illness. He was born Oct. 28, 1949, in Johnstown, son of the late Allen P. Wagner and Betty (Savage) Wagner.
Surviving is his daughter, Heidi Feathers (Ken Snyder); granddaughter, Erika Feathers; and brother, Gregg Wagner (Janet) of Chambersburg.
Sheldon was a 1968 graduate of Claysburg-Kimmel High School. He retired from Shipping and Receiving at Veeder-Root after many years of service.
Sheldon was raised in the Lutheran Church. He was a longtime member of the Claysburg Volunteer Fire Company, and the CACT theater group. He enjoyed fishing, playing golf and softball and watching his granddaughter’s sporting activities.
Friends will be received from 3 to 6 p.m. Wednesday, May 20, 2026, at Harry E. Miller Funeral Home and Cremation Services Inc., 810 Bedford St., Claysburg. A funeral service will follow at 6 p.m. with the Rev. James Neatrour officiating. Internment will be at Grandview Cemetery, Altoona.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Sheldon’s memory may be given to the Claysburg Volunteer Fire Company, PO Box 292, Claysburg, PA 16625.
