Cambria Heights softball team blanked by Bedford
BEDFORD — Emma Byers threw a complete-game shutout for top-seeded Bedford in a 3-0 victory over Cambria Heights in the District 6 Class 3A softball quarterfinals on Monday.
Byers struck out 12 batters and had a two-run single.
Cambria Heights pitcher Rylee Lane, who allowed just four hits, struck out three as the Lady Highlanders finished 11-10.
Alyssa Miller had two hits for Cambria Heights.
Bedford will host Bald Eagle Area in the semifinals on Thursday.
