Heights splits meet with P-O, WB

PHILLIPSBURG — The Cambria Heights girls and boys cross country teams defeated Philipsburg-Osceola on Wednesday in a high school meet that also featured West Branch. The Highlander boys won 28-30 over P-O but lost to West Branch, 28-30. On the girls side, the Lady Highlanders beat P-O, 18-37, but fell to West Branch, 15-50. Savannah Hoover of Cambria Heights won the girls race in 24:10. The top Highlander boys runner was Daniel Hock, who took fifth in 21:35. The boys race was won by Sage Karr of West Branch, who finished in 20:54.

Tigers continue early success with another victory

HUNTINGDON — Hollidaysburg improved to 21-1 on the season with four wins over Clearfield, Bald Eagle Area, Philipsburg-Osceola and Huntingdon in a Laurel Highlands Athletic Conference golf match Tuesday at Huntingdon Country Club. Isaac Miller had a 77, and Keagan Hockey carded a 78 for the Golden Tigers. Bellefonte’s Isaak Bloom was the medalist with a 74, but the Red Raiders didn’t have enough golfers for a team score.
