Williams earns Fred Bell title

GROVE CITY — Glendale’s top-seeded Daniel Williams recorded pins in all five of his bouts at the Fred Bell High School Wrestling Tournament to capture the 285-pound title on Saturday at Grove City High School. Williams (26-2 with 16 falls) built a 9-0 lead on Laurel’s Casey Wilson before pinning him in 2:54 in the championship finals. The red-hot Golden Tigers hit 11 of their first 17 shots, mostly from within close range of the basket, and sprinted to a 17-point lead after one quarter.
