From Mirror reports Both the Central High School baseball and softball teams earned top seeds for the upcoming District 6 playoffs, which begin Thursday. The Central baseball team, the defending District 6 Class 3A champ, will begin play in the quarterfinals on Thursday at home against Westmont Hilltop. Altoona captured the Mid-Penn Conference Commonwealth Division championship after beating Red Land, 4-3, in 11 innings on Monday at Mansion Park in high school baseball action.
