Penn Cambria boys edge Central, 61-60

CRESSON — Brandon Rabish’s conventional three-point play with 29 seconds left gave Penn Cambria the lead in a 61-60 victory over Central on Saturday in high school boys basketball. Central’s Eli Muthler put the Scarlet Dragons ahead, 60-46, with 3:40 remaining in the game before the Panthers finished the game on a 15-0 run. Penn Cambria was led by Gavin Harrold’s 16 points. TYRONE — The Tyrone Area High School boys swimming team defeated Altoona, 113-54, on Monday night. Dylan Eckenrode won the 500-yard freestyle and the 200-yard individual medley for the Golden Eagles, and Trevor Wilson placed first in the 100 freestyle and 100 backstroke for the Altoona boys.
