LOCK HAVEN — The IUP Crimson Hawks were selected No. 1 in the 2023 Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference’s West Division Football Preseason Poll, as voted on by the league’s head coaches. IUP was also voted No. 1 in the 2022 West Division Preseason Poll. In 2022, team tallied a 10-2 overall record (6-1 in conference play) and became PSAC champions after a win over Shepherd University 24-21 in the PSAC championship game. Returning starters: There is a ton of experience on an offensive line that plowed the way for the third-most total yards in the Big Ten last year, behind only Ohio State and Michigan. UNIVERSITY PARK — A survey was taken amongst media members to see just what everyone thinks about this upcoming season that could show a lot of promise for Penn State football. Most of the members asked agreed between 11-1 and 10-2 with the biggest question marks being the usual Ohio State and Michigan showdowns.
