Tom Walker dies at 74 Tom Walker, who once threw a 15-inning no-hitter in the minor leagues, was one of the last people to see Roberto Clemente alive, and was the father of former Pirate Neil Walker, died Monday, according to the Pittsburgh Pirates. He was 74. Walker spent six seasons in the Major Leagues, making his debut with the Monteal Expos in 1972. He also pitched for the Tigers, Cardinals and Angels. The 26-year-old Hayes led all third basemen in MLB this season with 21 Defensive Runs Saved according to the Fielding Index.
