BRADENTON, Fla. -- The Pittsburgh Pirates homered three times on Friday in a 12-8 win over Tampa Bay in Grapefruit League action.
Gilberto Celestino connected for his first home run this spring, a grand slam in the seventh inning to put the Pirates (2-5) up 12-5 at the time. Bryan Reynolds went deep for the second straight game with his 414-foot solo shot in the first inning off Rays starter Jacob Lopez. Jared Triolo added a three-run homer in the second inning for a 4-3 lead.
Pirates starter Mitch Keller gave up three runs in the first but did record a scoreless second inning. Wily Peralta stranded the two inherited runners while going on to retire six of seven batters he raced in relief for the Bucs.
Game notes: Termarr Johnson reached base safely again, going 1-for-2. He has reached safely in six of his last eight at bats. ... Ke'Bryan Hayes has six RBIs in his last three exhibition games. ... Roansy Contreras will start for the Pirates today against Detroit's Jack Flaherty. First pitch is at 1:05 p.m.

FORT MYERS, Fla. -- First baseman Carlos Santana can earn an additional $250,000 in performance bonuses as part of his one-year contract with the Minnesota Twins.
Santana was guaranteed $5.25 million in the deal announced Feb 7.
He would get $125,000 each for 500 and 550 plate appearances.
The switch-hitter, who turns 38 on April 8, hit .240 with 33 doubles, 23 homers and 86 RBIs in 146 games last year for Pittsburgh and Milwaukee.
Santana led major league first basemen with 11 defensive runs saved, according to FanGraphs, and was a Gold Glove Award finalist. The Twins are the 2019 All-Star and Silver Slugger Award winner's seventh major league team in 15 seasons. He has 17 homers in 98 games at Target Field and a .356 on-base percentage over 1,930 games.
Rays
PORT CHARLOTTE, Fla. -- Infielder Amed Rosario would increase his earnings with the Tampa Bay Rays to $2 million if he has at least 620 plate appearances this season. Rosario agreed Feb. 20 to a one-year contract with a base salary of $1.5 million.
The 28-year-old would earn $100,000 each for 500 plate appearances and each additional 30 through 620. He spent last season with Cleveland and the Los Angeles Dodgers, batting .263 with six homers and 58 RBIs in 142 games. He played 104 games at shortstop and 36 games at second, In 2022, he also saw time in the outfield.
