Wolf kill laws push to revive protections

By Matthew Brown The Associated Press BILLINGS, Mont. — Wildlife advocates pressed the Biden administration this past week to revive federal protections for gray wolves across the Northern Rockies after Republican lawmakers in Idaho and Montana made it much easier to kill the predators. Everyone has a favorite ‘What’s my line?’

By Walt Young For the Mirror Fishing line is the direct connection between an angler and the fish he has captured. The mauling left Minish with a crushed jaw, a puncture wound in his scalp so deep that the doctor said he ...

Just recently, the issue of opening day for rifle deer season was moved to Saturday, and oh how the hunters complained. We’ve just about adjusted to that change but just recently, the Game Commission approved having deer season be a concurrent effort now. That means we will be hunting does and bucks at the same time during both weeks of season. That will probably mean a noisy, busy season since deer will be shifted from ...
