Honey Baked Ham picked up its first win of the season in walk-off fashion, scoring two runs in the bottom of the seventh to beat Sheetz, 6-5, at Juniata Field in Greater City Baseball League play on Tuesday. Garrett Rossman’s RBI single was the game-winner, while Hunter Rossman doubled and drove in two. Hunter Rossman picked up the win after pitching one inning in relief. Pitt basketball adds two more transfers

PITTSBURGH — Pitt men’s basketball coach Jeff Capel announced the additions of Baye Ndongo and Ibrahim Souare on Wednesday. Ndongo is a 6-foot-9, 240-pound forward from Mboro, Senegal. He joins the Panthers after a three-year career at Georgia Tech that included All-ACC third team and ACC all-freshman team recognition. EVERETT — The Bedford County Sports Hall of Fame will induct eight individuals, four teams and an organization at a ceremony Saturday at Everett Area High School’s auditorium. Among the inductees is Thad Benton, a wrestler from Claysburg-Kimmel who was a state runner-up and went on to win Division II titles at Pitt-Johnstown.
