Bad luck for Ortiz costs Curve
BOWIE, Md. — Curve pitcher Luis Ortiz can look dominant at times, which happened again Friday night, but the right-hander with great stuff has endured some terrible luck this season. Ortiz struck out a season-high 10 Friday, and he gave up just one run through five innings. But he got tagged for two more runs in the sixth, and that wound up costing him and the Curve the game in a 4-1 loss to Bowie at Prince George’s Stadium.
