Curve release 2023 schedule

The Altoona Curve released their 2023 schedule of games to be played in the 25th season of baseball on Tuesday. The 138-game slate is the same length as the 2022 season and will feature nine home games in April, 14 home games in May, ten home games in June, 12 home games in July, 18 home games in August and six home games in September. BOWIE, Md. — Connor Scott made one of the great catches ever for the Curve to help win Saturday night, but the team got handed a crushing blow Sunday afternoon at Bowie. Altoona led by a run entering the bottom of the ninth, looking for a series split. BOWIE, Md. — Curve pitcher Luis Ortiz can look dominant at times, which happened again Friday night, but the right-hander with great stuff has endured some terrible luck this season. Ortiz struck out a season-high 10 Friday, and he gave up just one run through five innings. But he got tagged for two more runs in the sixth, and that wound up costing him and the Curve the game in a 4-1 loss to Bowie at Prince George’s Stadium.
