C-K wins battle of unbeaten teams

EVERETT — In a matchup between teams that entered the game a combined 18-0, Claysburg-Kimmel made a statement with a 25-9 victory over Everett in high school softball Friday afternoon.

Winning pitcher Isabella Paris went 5-for-6 with three home runs and drove in nine runs for the Lady Bulldogs.

C-K coach Mike Barbarini won his 400th career game.

Aleah Rightenour went 5-for-5 with a double and four RBIs, and Payton Hinish had three hits, all doubles, and drove in five runs for C-K, now 11-0.

McKenna Black also homered for the Lady Bulldogs.

Jade Colledge had three hits, including two doubles, for Everett, which fell to 8-1.

Lady Vikes cruise

FLINTON — Winning pitcher Rosie McClellan tossed a no-hitter with five strikeouts for Glendale in a 13-1, five-inning victory over Blacklick Valley.

Jayden Fry fronted the Lady Vikings’ offense with three hits, including two doubles, and five runs batted in.

Liz Kaufman bagged three hits and knocked in a pair of runs, while McClellan, Macy Snyder and Libby Dubler posted two hits apiece.

LOYSBURG — Bristol Barton fired a three-inning no-hitter and struck out seven for Northern Bedford in its 18-0 win over Forbes Road.

Mylee Mitchell hit a walk-off grand slam in the bottom of the third inning and finished with two hits and four RBIs. Myha Dixon added a double and three RBIs for the Lady Panthers.
