Tyrone’s Scott voted OW at duals
PHILIPSBURG — Kyle Scott was voted the Outstanding Wrestler of the Mountaineer Duals with a 6-0 record on Saturday at Philipsburg-Osceola High School.
Tyrone went 0-6, losing to Philipsburg-Osceola, 45-20, Saint Marys, 21-21, Midd-West, 39-36, Punxsutawney, 38-35, Bedford, 43-29 and Freedom Area, 42-34.
P-O won the Mountaineer Duals with a 6-0 record.

Lions finish fifth
CANONSBURG — Altoona finished tied with North Allegheny for fifth in the team standings of Mid-Winter Mayhem.
Altoona had six placewinners: Gavin Ciampoli (third, 160), Deklan Barr (fourth, 127), Braiden Weaver (fifth, 133), Dominic Picciotti (eighth, 107), Phillip Sarbo (eighth, 152) and Mike Colyer (eighth, 215).
Bishop McCort won the team title with 201.5, while Chestnut Ridge was second with 162.5. Ridge’s Kooper Deputy (107) and Domnic Deputy (127) won titles.
On the girls side, Juliette Cuevas of Bellwood-Antis had three technical falls — winning 15-0, 15-0 and 18-0 — on her way to the semifinals where she pinned Williamsport’s Malaina Comfort in 52 seconds.
In the championship match, Cuevas pinned Montgomery’s Brooke Knoebel in 2:38 to win the title.
Her teammate, Elliana Patterson, went 4-2 and finished seventh by pinning Norwin’s Addison Elyes in the seventh-place match.
