Schmitt, Sisto bring dedication to court

I am writing to show my support for Lou Schmitt and John Sisto for the position of Blair County judge. I have known both for many years and they are outstanding attorneys. Both have considerable trial experience in both criminal and civil matters in Blair County and will bring the same dedication to our county judicial system as judges. They both will show fairness and justice and will uphold the laws of our legal and justice system. I know both have plans to work with our present outstanding judges and help eliminate the backlog of cases. Ron Heller Altoona

Judicial experience matters in court

With four excellent candidates for Court of Common Pleas in Blair County, one of them stands out — Paula Aigner. Paula has been a magisterial district Judge (MDJ) for 20 years and has overseen thousands of cases. She knows the law and how to run her courtroom. Paula has gained respect from law enforcement, legal circles, courthouse employees, in addition to members of the community. Paula will be able to walk into the courtroom on day one and begin hearing cases. She has done this in the lesser court for two decades. Each case has its own set of circumstances, and she has the ...

Stoltz will serve area well as MDJ

On March 2, my family and I lost our home to a fire. We lost everything. Kevin Stoltz was one of the first people to reach out with financial assistance, offered his home, and gave us his words of encouragement when we needed it the most. Kevin knows what it’s like to lose his home to a fire. I was grateful for his insight on what to expect, and how to prepare my family for the days ahead. I couldn’t be more grateful for his generosity, compassion, dependability, and friendship. In moments like this, you see people for who they are. Kevin is running for magisterial district ...

I’m voting for three candidates who are trustworthy, smart and well-prepared to move Penn State forward: Uma Moriarity, Katherine Wheatle and Daniel Zahn. Uma, an investment strategist, has spent her career supporting sustainable growth; she’ll help Penn State build financial resilience for the future. Katherine worked her first full-time job at Penn State and knows the importance ...

Aigner has experience for role of Blair judge

I respectfully request of the voters of Blair County your earnest consideration for the candidacy of Judge Paula Aigner for the Court of Common Pleas of Blair County. There are four candidates competing for two vacancies on the court in the spring primary. All candidates possess attributes of good moral character and professional legal qualification. However, only one, Aigner, has 21 years of judicial experience. Judge Aigner has acquired that knowledge and experience by hard work and dedication to the job of magisterial district judge, in which she has served all of the citizens of ...
