SAVE America Act ensures integrity

American elections belong to American citizens. The right to vote is a sacred privilege of citizenship, and our laws must ensure that only citizens choose our leaders. The SAVE America Act would strengthen confidence in Pennsylvania’s elections by closing loopholes in existing law. It would require documentary proof of citizenship to register to vote and photo identification to cast a ballot. “Thank you for your service” is often heard from politicians who lack respect for U.S. troops and American honor. It is no surprise that President Donald Trump’s recent military actions were met with some skepticism. Wars are unsettling to the public mood, destructive to property and deadly to humans. There is no problem of noncitizens voting

The SAVE Act recently passed the House of Representatives and is currently under consideration in the Senate. It is intended to solve the problem of illegal noncitizen voting, which Republicans claim is rampant. This is bogus.
