Calvin James Ates, 27, Nanty Glo, died Monday. He was born in Johnstown, the son of James and Lori Ates. He was preceded in death by grandparents: Dorothy Stoy, Calvin Ates and Virginia Ates; an aunt, Louise Baker; and an uncle, Donald Ates. Surviving are his parents; siblings, Savannah and Jimmy; grandfather, James “Gus” Stoy; an aunt, Dessa Walbeck; and a large extended family.
