Gary Keith Thompson Sr., 65, Fallentimber, died Tuesday. He was a son of the late Frederick Thompson and France (Brechbiel) Thompson Flaherty. Surviving are his wife, Freda; children: Marie, Jennifer, Carolann, Angela, Gary Jr. and Mae Thompson; a granddaughter, Aribella; and sisters: Sandra Williams, Brenda Little, Kimberly Laurer and Jody Flaherty. He was also predeceased by a grandchild; son-in-law, James Holliday; brother, James; and sister, Lisa. A memorial gathering will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. Saturday, June 27, 2026, at McQuown Funeral Home, Glasgow.

Mary Joyce Law, 89, of Altoona, passed away Monday. She was born in Altoona, daughter of the late William and Pearl (Wolf) Johnson. Joyce was married twice, first to William Samuelson, and later to Ed Law, who preceded her in death. Surviving are sons, Bill (Donna) and Jeff Samuelson; her stepson, Ed Law (Carrie); and her first husband, William Samuelson. A proud 1954 graduate of Altoona High School, Joyce devoted over 45 years to her beauty career in Juniata. In accordance with her wishes, no public services will be held.
