Paulette Ann Turano

Paulette Ann Turano, 77, Utahville, died Sunday. She was born Ashtabula, Ohio, daughter of the late Paul and Betty (Norris) Campbell. Surviving are a daughter, Melissa; two sons, Carl and William; seven grandchildren; and her twin sister, Patricia. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Turano Sr.; and a sister, Nancy. A private graveside funeral service will be held at the convenience of the family. Burial will be in Allemansville Cemetery. Arrangements are by McQuown Funeral Home, Glasgow.

Gerald M. “Gerry” Balasco, 95, formerly of Altoona, passed away Saturday, Aug. 30, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. Friends will be received from 10 a.m. to noon Friday, Sept. 5, 2025, at Santella Funeral Home. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at noon Friday, Sept. 5, 2025, at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church. William O. Weyandt Jr., 66, East Freedom, passed away Friday at UPMC Altoona. He was born in Roaring Spring, son of William O. Weyandt Sr. and the late Louise (Claar) Weyandt. Surviving are his father; daughters, Heather Weyandt of Bardstown, Ky., and Misty Weyandt of Winnie, Texas; five grandchildren; and sisters, Deb Dively of East Freedom and Lisa Swab of Altoona. Peter Mallett Dobbs, 71, of Tyrone, passed away Saturday, Aug. 23, 2025. He was born in North Caldwell, N.J., a son of the late Irving and Grace (Beneke) Dobbs.
