Stephen L. Dunn, 70, of Bellwood, died Thursday at his home after a courageous battle with glioblastoma.
He was born in Altoona, son of the late Jack E. and Marjorie H. (McFarland) Dunn. On Nov. 4, 1977, he married Sandra R. "Sandy" Heaton at the home of her parents in Tyrone.
Steve is survived by his wife, Sandy; three children, Melissa Dunn of Bellwood, Kimberly (Jonathan) Holmes of Tyrone and Andrew (Crystal) Dunn of Stephens City, Va.; five grandchildren: Levi, Ella and Axel Dunn and Ryleigh and Declan Holmes; his brother, Michael (Louise) Dunn of Bellwood; and a niece, Gwen (Rick) Schreier and their family of Bellwood.
He was a 1972 graduate of Bellwood-Antis High School and retired as a general maintenance technician at PGW, Tipton.
Steve enjoyed fishing, attending his grandchildren's events and traveling, especially to Disney World.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tues., Sept. 2, 2025; and 10 to 11 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 3, 2025, at Jon C.
Russin Funeral Home Inc., Bellwood. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, the Rev. Todd Christine officiating.
Interment will be at Logan Valley Cemetery, Bellwood.
Steve's family would like to extend a thank you to UPMC Hospice for their care and compassion, especially nurse Sally and aide Danielle.
The family suggests contributions in Steve's memory be made to a charity of one's choice.
